ITAR Compliance

ITAR Compliance

Samtec Microelectronics complies with all applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Arms Export Control Act and ITAR.

ITAR is a program directed by the US Department of State, regulating the export and import of U.S. military and defense related equipment, services, and information.

EAR (Export Administration Regulations) is a program directed by the Department of Commerce to control access to military and defense-related information, services, and information.

Through the ITAR and EAR regulations and Samtec Micro’s own policies and procedures, Samtec Microelectronics ensures that foreign entities do not gain access to any of the designs or products generated by its customers.

Samtec Microelectronics ITAR procedures are an adaptation of its “Secure Build” procedures, used continuously since 1998. The ITAR procedures include:

Technology and Export Control Processes (K1 / SOP 9.1)
Export Management System
Work instructions: K1-001 (ITAR and Secure Builds)
